The winter of 2014 was very cold in New York. Hugo Guinness stayed indoors, stared at his computer and in a flash of ennui decided to take a seven day armchair Google safari of some of the fauna and flora of the world. Our intrepid explorer saw serpents in India, flies in Australia and toads in china. This sketch book captures some of what he saw. Printed offset in a small edition of only 500 copies produced by Dashwood as part of a series based on literary paperbacks.

Hugo Guinness has done illustrations for The New York Times, The New Yorker and published several collections of post cards with Chronicle Books.  He shows at John Derian in New York and Wilson Stephens & Jones in London.  He has also written for the movies. He lives with a wife, two daughters and a dog who understands him.
