Scugnizzi is a term used to describe the local kids who in the summer overrun the town beaches of Naples. Brett Lloyd’s photographs taken over two extended summers are vignettes of daily drama on the beach that seem to channel neorealist Italian cinema of the nineteen forties and even smacks of the bawdy Naples that Caravaggio sort exile in.
