We decided to treat the Risographs like original artwork and have them scanned and printed offset in an edition of 500 copies as part of a series produced by Dashwood in the form of literary paperbacks.
Lele Saveri originally from Rome, now lives and works in New York City. He is probably best known for his ongoing curatorial projects: The 8-Ball Fair, an annual fair started in a pool hall in 2012 that brought together artists and small publishers; Muddguts Gallery founded in 2013 to show his expanding roster of artists on the fringes of the art world and The Newsstand, a vacant newsstand leased from the MTA in 2013-14 at the Lorimer Street subway station in Williamsburg. He has been selected to be included in MoMA’s New Photography Show ”An Ocean of Images” in November in which he will be installing a facsimile of The Newsstand at the Museum.
